Donic Acuda S1

The hardest rubber in Donic’s new Acuda series, part of the third generation of instant-bond rubbers. All rubbers in the Acuda series are spin-optimized and feature an extremely grippy surface.

The S1 features a 47.5° hard sponge, making it the most aggressive rubber in this series. It is particularly well-suited for players who want to play a spin-heavy and powerful first shot and who rely on a powerful, spin-heavy attacking style overall. Thanks to the innovative porous sponge, the rubber has a strong catapult effect—the ball can sink into the rubber slightly more, giving you better “touch” on the ball.

In the serve-and-return game, the Acuda is dangerous thanks to its grippy surface. However, it also handles the opponent’s spin well—a similar effect to that seen with Tenergy rubbers.

For players who prefer a somewhat controlled offensive style but also rely on strong spin shots, we recommend the Acuda in the softer S2 and S3 versions.
